Couples Toolbox: Writing, Speaking and Touch (In-Studio)

  • Sanctuary 150 Main Street Northampton, MA, 01060 United States (map)

with Lani Nahele

A guided, experiential workshop for romantic partners or friends. During this workshop you will be exploring tools to stretch existing patterns and to try new ways to talk, touch and be together.

Partnered bodywork experiences will introduce simple yet powerful ways to develop “listening hands,” heighten sensitivity, and enrich touch as a language of care and attunement. Writing prompts will gently seed honest communication, helping you to articulate desires, appreciations, boundaries, and curiosities that may have gone unspoken. Guided speaking and listening practices will refine your ability to hear, see and feel what your partner is experiencing. Who doesn’t need more of that?

All touch is invitational and adaptable to your comfort. No prior experience with writing or bodywork is needed—only a willingness to slow down and explore. Whether you arrive as partners or friends, this workshop offers a supportive space to discover one another through word, voice, and touch—and to leave with practical tools for deeper, more meaningful connection.

Lani Nahele has devoted more than thirty years to the practice of Body-Mind Centering and a wide range of bodywork modalities. She brings a depth of experience, sensitivity, and curiosity to her work, and currently maintains a private bodywork practice in Florence, Massachusetts. For ten years, she served as a Movement Therapist at Canyon Ranch Wellness Resort, where she developed and taught The Art of Relating, a workshop for couples. Through guided touch and reflective writing, she helped partners deepen their understanding of one another and cultivate more meaningful, embodied connection.
