Cancelation Policy (All Sanctuary Special Programming): If you register for a workshop or event and you do not show up, you forfeit your pass. We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for reservation cancelations. Please email us at studio@yoga-sanctuary.com if you cannot make it, so we can offer your spot to someone on the waitlist. Postpartum Yoga with Baby (6-Week Series, In-Studio, Masks Required)
This series is designed for those who have recently given birth and are looking to reconnect with their bodies and their breath in shared space with other new parents and babies. We'll practice gentle and rejuvenating poses, work on regaining core and pelvic integration, and learn techniques for breathing and moving with our little ones. This is a welcoming space for queer and trans postpartum students; everyone is welcome.

One of the best ways to learn how to take care of yourself is to move in new and unusual ways. And there is nothing more uplifting to your spirit and to your sense of self-care than to move in inspired ways to inspiring and uplifting music in the company of others.
Dance out the limitations of the mind and the tensions of the body. Leave feeling more whole and more like yourself–the self you most long to be.
Full Moon Circle (In-Studio)
Each month we will dig deep into a certain aspect of the moon (mythology, lunar cycles, moon magic, history of the moon, etc). The full moon is a time to release what is holding us back, and we will do that through ritual and energy clearing techniques in a circle: clearing what we are ready to release.
Sound Bath for Sensitive Souls (In-Studio)
In these monthly gatherings, Jorie will work with a combination of crystal bowls, temple bells, and chimes. These instruments work with the principles of resonance, entrainment, and cellular healing in promoting general relaxation, resetting the nervous system, restoring mental clarity, and aiding in cellular restoration. All sessions will be touch-free and mindful of potential reactivity to dissonance, binaurals, and overplaying.

Kirtan is one of the many precious spiritual traditions that India has developed and offered to the world. It's a space for coming together to celebrate the magnificent creative power that gives birth to the material universe. We sing mantras that glorify and honor the divine essence that flows through life, meditating on the sounds that name that essence and call it into form. No experience necessary.
Biodanza: the Dance of Life
These open Biodanza sessions are an opportunity to bring into your life an expanding space of ease, integration, co-regulation and renewal. Transformative ground from which to move with this transformative time. We are growing it together! With guided movement and beautiful music, we'll practice shifting our state, moving out of stress and into flow, unwind and tone our nervous systems, cultivate our innate creativity, vitality and presence, and return to our most essential selves, so that our dances allow new possibilities to unfold.
Infused Herbal Oils & Salves (In-Studio)
Infused oils allow herbalists to transfer the healing properties of herbs into oils which can then be used to create salves, lotions, compresses, and more. In this workshop we will discuss 3 different methods of making infused herbal oils. There will be a demonstration on how to make infused oils and salves. All participants go home with a jar of salve made in class.

Elements of Contact - A Contact Improv Workshop
Using the elements of Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Ether as our guides, we will cultivate these qualities in ourselves and our dances. Through movement exercises, we will practice basic skills for dancing Contact Improvisation and deepen our sense of connection to self, other, and the environment. Each session in this series is offered as a stand-alone class, beginning with Earth as the principal theme.

In this workshop, we will focus on Nervous System Regulation through centering on inner self care. We will explore the following techniques to work with the body to bring into balance our nervous system:
inviting choice and curiosity in your personal practice
noticing sensations while naturally breathing
practicing presencing and mindfulness
creating shapes or poses with our bodies
inviting playfulness and compassion

Embodied Resilience for Runners
Embodied Resilience for Runners will raise funds for Girls on the Run Western Mass. This workshop offers adults and teens the tools to feel empowered in their bodies as they run and move through life. Drawing on the Alexander Technique and somatic practices, this trauma-informed, body-positive class helps runners develop a three-dimensional understanding of their bodies, release unnecessary tension, and discover more ease and freedom in their movement.
Couples Toolbox: Writing, Speaking and Touch (In-Studio)
During this workshop you will be exploring tools to stretch existing patterns and try new ways to talk, touch and be together. Through somatic offerings such as cellular holding, conscious touch-both giving and receiving, and writing prompts, you will refine your ability to hear, see, and feel what your partner is experiencing.
