Scholarship Program Gets Streamlined!
Dear Community,
Our self-funded Scholarship program has been an important tool in our work toward equity. We’ve committed to channeling 100% of profits to support financial accessibility to Sanctuary’s public programming. And, while “profits” is a funny term for a small business that acts more like a service organization than a corporation, we've seen the impacts of our decision landing in real ways. In 2025 alone we supported 153 scholarship requests, totalling over $28,000 in discounted passes. Let’s be clear though, this is only made possible because we have enough full-paying students that we can redistribute those dollars to others in the community – It Takes A Village.
Over the last couple of years we’ve received many notes of gratitude for our Scholarship program. It’s clear that opening up alternative paths to participation is valued and very much needed. Yet, with all good things there’s always room for improvement. One piece of feedback we’ve received is that the simple act of asking people to reach out to us for a scholarship can be a barrier in and of itself. So, as we lean into 2026 with a strong desire to deepen this work we are excited to streamline the process a bit more for students.
Here’s how it will work moving forward…
Weekly Yoga Classes
Students can now purchase a Self-Serve Scholarship (Class Pass) at their leisure. It can be found on our Pricing page, or listed among all available passes on our PunchPass platform.
It’s a sliding scale pass, $5–20, and can be used for any of our weekly yoga classes. The standard value of our Single Class Pass is $22, so this Scholarship pass is designed to give students an easy option to participate at an amount that works for their budget.
Due to technical limitations we can’t automate Scholarship passes for our 5-Class Pass or Unlimited Class Pass. If you’d like to request a scholarship for any of the pass options please email us (studio@yoga-sanctuary.com).
Special Programming
We’ve now opened up a Self-Serve Scholarship (Event Pass) for many of our popular workshops. Since we have a variety of pricing structure for these offerings the pass really only applies to a certain category of events. This can be determined when you go into the individual descriptions of the offerings listed on our Events & Series page. If applicable, there will be instructions of how to proceed on each event page.
It’s a sliding scale pass, $5–50, and can be used for any qualifying event. The standard value of these events is typically $30–60, so this Scholarship pass is designed to give students an easy option to participate at an amount that works for their budget.

We’re excited to see how this new process opens up opportunities for wider participation in the programming at Sanctuary. Everyone deserves access to the healing arts and we’re committed to making that possible in every way we can. We may be a small business, but we’ve got a big heart!
