Pancha Koshas and Bhutas (Hybrid)

  • Sanctuary 150 Main Street Northampton, MA, 01060 United States (map)

with Corinne Andrews

Brahman is a Sanskrit word used to describe the fundamental, underlying, infinite, unified spirit that pervades all existence. The word has the sense of expansion, vastness, and infinite potential. It is from this unified spirit that creation begins and gives rise to the element of space. Space gave rise to air, then fire, water and earth. Each kosha (sheath or layer of our awareness) is associated with one of these five elements.

Through a somatic journey of āsāna, prānāyāma, bīja mantra, dharana and dhyana, we will explore our five layers of awareness and associated elements as they exist within us. This embodiment practice will help us to know ourselves, each other and the true nature of reality more deeply.

This workshop is part of our current immersion/YTT and we are opening it up to the public to drop-in.

Corinne Andrews (she/her), E-RYT 500, RPYT, has been the lead teacher of a 100-hr immersion, 200-hr & 300-hr YTT and the 90-hr PYTT since 2015, and she has been sharing the teachings of yoga since 2003.
