Who They Are
Since its creation in 1985, the mission of the Northampton Parents Center (NPC) has been to provide an affirming, friendly, and non-judgmental space for young children and their caregivers to meet and play: a place for parents to find support, information, and friendship, and for children to play, learn, and grow. NPC is a non-profit, parent cooperative, drop-in Family Center located in the center of Northampton, MA, where families with young children gather to play, read, talk, make friends, and share resources and information.

Free Event: Kids Somatics
Join the Northampton Parents Center for this experiential workshop will offer body- and breath-based tools for nervous system regulation. Participants will leave with specific practices for settling their minds and bodies using accessible movements, mindful attention, and social connection. Skills will be adaptable for adults and children of all ages (especially suited for ages 0–5), and will center on the parent-child relationship as a source of co-regulation and wellness!
We will begin gathering at 3pm, start class no later than 3:15, and go for about 30–45 minutes. Snacks and social hour will be held in the studio after the class, from ~4–5pm.
