Who They Are
Girls on the Run WMA inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using fun, experience-based curricula that creatively integrates running. As the only national physical activity-based, positive youth development program for girls with a research-based curriculum, trained coaches, and a commitment to serving all girls, GOTR makes a stronger impact than organized sports and physical education programs in teaching life skills such as managing emotions, resolving conflict, helping others, and making intentional decisions.

Benefit Class: Embodied Resilience for Runners
with Tracy Einstein
Embodied Resilience for Runners will raise funds for Girls on the Run Western Mass
This workshop offers adults and teens the tools to feel empowered in their bodies as they run and move through life. Drawing on the Alexander Technique and somatic practices, this trauma-informed, body-positive class helps runners develop a three-dimensional understanding of their bodies, release unnecessary tension, and discover more ease and freedom in their movement. Tracy will guide you through some functional anatomy and then a movement flow—at times subtle, at times energetic—designed to unwind excess tension, optimize your breathing and postural alignment, and prepare your body for running. Through gentle exploration and hands-on guidance, participants will learn practical tools to process physical challenges, prevent injury, and cultivate a joyful relationship with running.
