Featured Class: Mindful Yoga with Alexis Major Jameson

Alexis teaches Mindful Yoga every Friday from 12-1 PM, in-studio & online!

Mindful Yoga is an invitation to slow down and check in with the body and mind in the midst of the frantic rush toward the finish line of a busy week. It’s a reminder that yoga is an embodied practice—one that we carry with us as we roll up our mats and continue going about our daily lives.

“Friday midday is a wonderful time to take a break and reconnect with your body,” says Alexis, a yoga therapist whose training is trauma-informed. “My hope is that each participant leaves class feeling rested, restored and relaxed for the rest of their day!”

Alexis’ class is slow-paced and gentle, with a focus on heightened awareness.

“She has really helped me to move more mindfully with my breath!” says Wendy B., a longtime student of Alexis, who finds the class “rejuvenating, therapeutic and calming.”

And Alexis’ training as a Yoga Therapist informs every class. She begins each session by asking participants what parts of their bodies need particular attention—from the neck and shoulders to the knees. Wendy has found great benefit from Alexis’ class in her ongoing recovery from a tendon injury.

Students of all experience levels are welcome in Mindful Yoga. Do yourself a favor and step away from the screen for an hour of gentle self-care!
