Community Spotlight: Jonathan Gregory

He’s probably greeted you in between sending emails and creating spreadsheets at the front desk. Meet Jonathan, Lindsay’s life-and-business partner, and Yoga Sanctuary’s General Manager!

What is your role at Yoga Sanctuary?
I’m responsible for overseeing daily operations, new business development, and managing the finances. My focus of late has been developing a strategic plan for how we aim to become a mission-based organization offering services beyond yoga classes.

What does being part of the YS Community mean to you?
It means that I am responsible for being my truest self each day. That I show up for others when they need me and that I can be vulnerable when I need them. It's about giving and receiving, letting go and welcoming in, and being in the moment, starting with recognition of breath.

What do you do for fun?
For indoor fun you can find me in the kitchen cooking up a meal for family or friends. When I’m outdoors, it’s all about getting into the woods—whatever that entails!

What’s your favorite (pick something! animal, vegetable, kitchen appliance, season)?
My favorite tea is Lemon Ginger.

What gives you energy?
Sitting in a swingy chair with my life partner and getting introspective about life.

What’s your favorite yoga pose?
Malasana (squat pose)

Why do you practice yoga?
When I practice yoga I am self-aware and self-assured. It enables me to better hold myself, and others, with the grace and care we deserve.

What do you hope YS students will gain by being part of this community?
I hope that our community provides opportunities for all to connect, heal, and inspire one another.
