“Love is the antidote to judgment; love heals all.”
~Gabby Bernstein, from Judgment Detox
Joia and Carolyn are back with Gabby Bernstein’s latest spiritual workbook. During our book club, we will incorporate a yoga gentle practice along with journaling, guided meditations, and mantras from the book to help heal judgment, rediscover our oneness with others, and return to love.

Carolyn Ruszala, RYT 200, completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Mama Nirvana's in Easthampton in 2007 and her yin teacher training while she was living in San Diego. In addition to being a yoga instructor, Carolyn is also an elementary school teacher. She offers day and weekend yoga retreats and enjoys teaching gentle, yin, and restorative yoga classes, guided meditations, and mindfulness to children, adults, and families. Carolyn hopes to inspire and empower her students with self-love and self-care through her classes, workshops, and retreats. She hopes that together we can make the world a kinder, more compassionate, just place.
Joia began her journey as a yoga student at age ten. It was in her first kid’s yoga class, led by Sara Rose, where she discovered yoga was creative, fun, and expansive. Inspired by this early experience, Joia has explored different styles of yoga, and taken multiple workshops in order to deepen her practice. In addition, she has nurtured her love of creative movement by pursuing her studies in classic and modern dance. Throughout her life, both yoga and dance have brought a feeling of equilibrium and stability. Joia hopes to share this with her students! She pays close attention to the linking of breath with movement in her classes, helping to cultivate a connection between mind and body, instilling a sense of harmony. In 2008 Joia received a degree in Dance Studies from Wheaton College, and in 2014 she completed her Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Sanctuary with Sara Rose.
