In this workshop we'll take time to go over the details of some of the poses you might encounter in a level 2 class. You can come with questions on specific poses or just a curiosity for learning more.

Harry Potter Yoga

with Amy Harris

"Words are, in my not so humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic, capable of both inflicting injury and remedying it.”  - Albus Dumbledore

During challenging times, it is tempting to withdraw into ourselves, avoiding conflict by denying what is happening in the world around us. The great Albus Dumbledore, along with his friends and colleagues, taught us to instead stand up and speak out about injustice, using our words and actions to embrace diversity and civility. Come to Harry Potter Yoga to cultivate courage and practice skillful responses to difficult situations. We’ll move through a strong standing sequence, inspired by our own strength and creativity and the support of our community. Treats straight from the kitchens of Hogwarts (prepared only by free elves, of course!) will be offered after class.

(Yoga friendly) costumes encouraged!

Muggles 14 years and older with some yoga experience are welcome.

Embodyoga: Balancing Stability & Mobility with the Body-Mind

with Onatah (Brittany) Stoll

Saturday, September 23rd  1-3pm

In Yoga practice we are looking for direct experience of balance, wholeness and unity. The goal of Yoga is not to just become flexible, nor is it to be able to get up into a handstand. It is the relationship of the Whole we are after. Through practice and self inquiry we can learn to accept the whole spectrum of who we are and find the balance of freedom and support through all layers of the body. Through this embodied inquiry we will look deeper into our anatomy with curiosity and awe. Come see yourself in a new light. All levels are welcome.
