2016-2017 Yoga Teacher Training with Sara Rose and Lisa Leizman.
This 10 month training begins with the premise that we must first be skillful and accomplished students of yoga with a broad and strong foundation in the philosophy and history of yoga, the alignment principles, and basic anatomy of asana practice. To fully serve others, we must know our selves and our own practices deeply. In this way we can become successful and effective teachers. Teacher Training provides you with this confidence-boosting and empowering foundation while gradually training you in the art of teaching yoga.
Teaching exercises, designing teaching curriculum, and sequencing are regular parts of the training. You will learn to instruct poses clearly and succinctly, with language skills that inspire your students to express their poses from the inside out. You will be mentored by your teacher but also inspired and supported by your peers!
This sacred path is full of joy, challenge, and abundant opportunities for connection and expansion. You will learn to share your love of yoga with confidence and to iprint your classes with the dignity and beauty that lies within you.
Prerequisite: One year of steady yoga practice.
