••••••••• Teen classes: please see the kids and teens schedule page for more information and class descriptions. Level 1 introduces postures, breathing techniques, and yogic philosophy with supportive and clear instruction and individual assistance. For beginners or those wanting a basic class. Level 1 & 2 not intended for beginners, this class will build up to more challenging poses including arm balances, backbends and inversions. A great in-between class offering more refinements and plenty of fun! Level 2 come rock out in these flow-filled, challenging intermediate classes that will ask you to go deeper in all poses and all realms of your being! Ability to practice handstands and full backbends suggested. Level 2 & 3 A practice of radical expansion for intermediate and advanced students and teachers. Designed to build off the Level 2 Anusara syllabus and play with postures from Level 3. Prerequisites include an ability to kick into handstand and headstand unassisted at the wall and a working practice of full wheel pose (Urdhva Dhanurasansa). A strong understanding of the Universal Principles of Alignment is highly recommended. Gentle Restorative This class combines gentle postures, stretching, restorative poses and relaxation. Perfect for those who want to unwind, who are new to yoga, or have physical concerns or injuries. Prenatal Yoga This class is specifically designed to nurture prenatal women throughout the course of their pregnancy. We will use yoga postures and philosophy to safely address the unique demands of both pregnancy and childbirth on the physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. This is a wonderful opportunity to bond with your baby and share the support of other moms preparing for childbirth. (Pre-registration required) Postnatal Yoga with Infant This class complements and celebrates the demanding and rewarding practice of motherhood. Bring your baby and enjoy poses and exercises designed specifically for postpartum women. We will work to regain abdominal tone, counteract the physical strains of nursing, re-discover and nourish our physical and emotional centers, and provide support for one another. (Pre-registration required) Yoga for Men Wonder what all the fuss is over yoga? Haven't been able to work the pain out of your shoulder or the kink out of your neck? Are your quads, hamstrings and hips seemingly forever stuck in park? Come join certified Anusara yoga instructor Andrew Rivin in eight fun, energetic and healing yoga practices. In a supportive and nurturing community of other men you'll learn that yoga is a sophisticated and refined play between effort and surrender, and a practice which develops both strength and flexibility. You're sure to leave each evening feeling more open, more at ease and... just in case you thought it wasn't possible... thoroughly worked out.
