Many people believe they must already be flexible to join a yoga class. Not true! What is needed is only a desire and a willingness to explore this sacred practice.
At Yoga Sanctuary we welcome students of all ages and abilities. You will be supported to go at your own pace.
Tips for New Yoga Students
Intro to Yoga classes: all beginning students who are new to yoga should start with Intro classes if possible. When you are ready you may move on to Level 1.
Level 1: welcomes all students including those brand new to yoga. The pace is more challenging than Intro, so it is an ideal place to begin. If the time works for you and you are a beginner who would like a stronger class, give Level 1 a try. Those looking for a gentler pace can start with Intro.
Gentle/Restorative classes: may also work for a new beginner if the time works best for your schedule. There is less variety in the poses taught gentle classes as all poses are meant to be at a similarly slow pace and not too challenging.
All of our classes on our regular class schedule (unless called a special series class) are on-going and are part of our Membership option.
